Flowcharting the Jehovah Cycle

As I was writing the book Reflections on the Worthiness of Human Creation, I had intended to include in it several flowcharts which afford a visual description of the creator’s engineering processes and pathways of energy transformation. As the writing took much longer than I had anticipated, I decided to drop this feature for the first edition in order to get the work out before I should pass away (ha! ha!). Now with the book in the hands of a publisher, I feel more relaxed and can begin to look into adding the trimmings to my skeleton notebook.

The problem I encountered with my first attempt to make a flowchart was that I wanted it to be all-inclusive; so the diagrams I sketched became quite complicated with details of various pathways of energy storage, for example. This time, I decided first to make a bare minimum flowchart, limiting myself to the most important essentials of creational design only. Surprisingly I discovered the image of a cross! The original sketch is presented in the following.

I have named it Jehovah’s Cross.

The meaning of Images and Miracles

There is a fundamental difference between the Cross of Jesus and the Cross of Jehovah. In fact, they stand opposite at the extremities of the meaning of miracles; one is defined by mythical events of faith, and the other as science-compatible explanation of the pathways of energy transformation. Stated in another way:

  The Christian cross is a story of the son of God dying for the redemption of mankind by taking our sins upon himself.
  
  


• The Jehovian cross is a manifestation of Divine guidance of energy pathways.

I have been deeply concerned with the survival of Christian faith in this age of leaping breakthroughs in bioscience. In my book I made an attempt to rewrite a version of Genesis to describe the logical stages of engineering preparation for the creation of higher life forms. I also gave a new definition of likeness which is no longer in terms of physiological similarities. For the New Testament I had not been able to offer a sensible alternative account. But with the discovery of Jehovah’s Cross, it is now possible to consider replacing the crucifixion of Jesus on a cross by a flow diagram showing the intersection of energy flow in two directions, with the aid of the two miracles of creation.

This is enough material for an interested reader to ponder over for several days. Next time I’ll address the poetic symmetry of God’s creation.

{Important editorial addition dated 2/13/2012}

I have decided to replace this cross version of the Jehovah Cycle flowchart by a more accurate diamond version (the diamond refers to the shape of the flowchart pathway resembling the diamond of a playing card) dated July, 2o10. The reason I do not want to delete this entry altogether is to preserve the comments above which shows the deep concern I hold to try to preserve the Cross in association with the Christian faith for the past 2000 years.

Pope Believes in Creation and Evolution: Conflict "Absurd"

Question: What does the Pope think of your book, Reflections on the Worthiness of Human Creation?

Answer: His Holiness has not yet had an opportunity to read my book. I think he might disagree with my views on world population. However, based on his teachings, I believe he supports my views on creation, evolution, and the world energy crisis.

From the Jully 2007 Meeting of the Holy Father Benedict XVI with the Clergy of the Dioceses of Belluno-Feltre and Treviso:

"Currently, I see in Germany, but also in the United States, a somewhat fierce debate raging between so-called "creationism" and evolutionism, presented as though they were mutually exclusive alternatives: those who believe in the Creator would not be able to conceive of evolution, and those who instead support evolution would have to exclude God. This antithesis is absurd because, on the one hand, there are so many scientific proofs in favour of evolution which appears to be a reality we can see and which enriches our knowledge of life and being as such. But on the other, the doctrine of evolution does not answer every query, especially the great philosophical question: where does everything come from? And how did everything start which ultimately led to man? ... "

"Today, we all see that man can destroy the foundations of his existence, his earth, hence, that we can no longer simply do what we like or what seems useful and promising at the time with this earth of ours, with the reality entrusted to us. On the contrary, we must respect the inner laws of creation, of this earth, we must learn these laws and obey these laws if we wish to survive. Consequently, this obedience to the voice of the earth, of being, is more important for our future happiness than the voices of the moment, the desires of the moment."

Pope Benedict talks about the "voices of the moment" to represent current desires with no regard to the future of humanity. In my book, I talk about a "voice of the future" to represent justice for future generations.

From Reflections on the Worthiness of Human Creation:

We have activism in countless ways. The Spotted Owls in the Pacific Northwest, for instance, are not aware of the hardships they face or the danger of their own extinction. It is thought, nevertheless, that they need a voice, a human voice to speak for their right to survival. Fine! Now how about a voice for the future generations of mankind -- they will probably be smarter than we are, and will also love to live well; but they have no voice because they are not yet born. I therefore propose that every government create a "Voice of the Future" department to allow government policy makers to include in their consideration a most important input -- justice across time boundaries in addition to contemporary justice across political or economic boundaries.
